Biography of Mimi

In the last days of WW2, she was born as the daughter of a musician and a very creative mother in Kniebitschken (today´s Czech Repuplic). When she was 5 years old, she came with her parents and four siblings to Rengetsweiler/ Sigmaringen where she grew up in a very caring familiy.

At 21, she met her present partner. From this relationship they had 3 sons. Surrounded by her own family, she found the time to express her creativity only every now and then.

In the mid of the nineties Mimi attended  the art classes at the adult school Lingen/Ems. To her great luck her teacher was the now internationally known painter "Talal Refit". For 5 years she was his student in the techniques of painting. In his student group the first exhibitions were organized.

The year 2000 became the year of the total change and she moved to Fuerteventura. Impressed with the game of light and shadow as well as colors of the island, she created her actual works. The cultural department of Fuerteventura and her new friends considerably support her creative power.
